Chanukah celebration in Moscow brought seniors together for candles, community, and reflections on our Jewish heritage
Chamah's Chanukah celebration in Moscow was a heartfelt gathering that reminded us of our shared traditions and the resilience of the Jewish spirit. Seniors traveled from across the city to take part in this meaningful event, united by the light of the menorah and the warmth of community.
The evening began with the Chanukah candle-lighting ceremony filling the room. A festive meal followed, accompanied by inspiring words from one of the directors of the Joint Distribution Committee in Moscow.
The event included several speakers, one of whom shared the story of Chanukah, reflecting on the miracles of survival, Jewish identity, and the enduring legacy of our traditions.
This Chanukah, we celebrated not only the miracles of the past but also the strength and continuity of Jewish identity—here in Moscow, in Israel, and around the world. ■
