The Holidays at the Chamah Center in Russia

Sharing the joy of the Jewish holidays with children and the elderly

Last month was a whirlwind of major Jewish holidays; the High Holy Days and the Sukkot festival. At the Chamah center in Russia, special holiday programs were organized for the elderly, as well as for children and their families, giving them the opportunity to celebrate the Jewish holidays and learn about their traditions. 

During the busy time of the holidays, in Israel and Russia and the United States, CHAMAH worked hard to ensure that families and individuals in need would be able to experience the joy of the holiday season. During the holidays, the cost of celebrating can be especially difficult for those already struggling to make ends meet, making CHAMAH’s assistance all the more important.
