Bringing Hope and Dignity to Families This Passover

Holiday assistance brings relief amid war and hardship

As Passover approached and Israel’s southern communities continued to bear the strain of the ongoing war, Chamah distributed much-needed assistance to vulnerable members of the community, including divorced mothers, struggling families, isolated individuals, and elderly residents.

Situated near the southern towns bordering Gaza, the Chamah Community Center in Kiryat Malachi is deeply involved in providing aid to many families and individuals affected by the war over the past year and a half. As Passover drew near, Chamah worked tirelessly to ensure that those in need could celebrate with dignity and joy.

A large distribution of food packages was organized. The packages contained Matzah and wine, and was packed with fresh vegetables, fruits, and dry goods for the holiday, as well as traditional items needed to celebrate a full and meaningful Seder, marking our freedom from bondage in Egypt. These supplies ensured that families could enjoy abundant meals throughout the holiday with their loved ones. We also distributed supermarket vouchers to enable families purchase other essential items of their choosing.

In a time of uncertainty and hardship, Chamah remains steadfast in its mission, continuously supporting those in need. We are committed to empowering individuals and families, ensuring they are supported during the holidays and throughout the entire year, empowering them to approach each day with renewed hope and determination. ■
