Passover holiday prep at the Children's Day Care Centers
Children learn about the holiday with hands-on activities and a model Seder
In the days leading up to Passover, the Chamah Children’s Day Care Centers in Israel hosted special model Seders, bringing the spirit of the holiday to life for the youngest members of our communities. From singing the Four Questions to tasting symbolic foods, the children had the chance to learn about the traditions of the Seder in a hands-on, age-appropriate way.
These model Seders are more than just educational—they are a vital piece of how we pass down our Jewish heritage, especially in families where parents may be working long hours or facing financial hardship. For some of these children, the day care center is their primary connection to Jewish life and values.
In addition to the children's celebrations, staff members at the centers received special gifts in honor of the holiday. These educators and caregivers work tirelessly all year long, and their dedication is at the heart of what makes our day care network so essential. Recognizing their hard work before the Passover holiday is a small but meaningful way to say thank you. ■
