Relief Efforts in Israel
The CHAMAH Center in Kiryat Malachi, Israel, is located near many southern Israeli towns that are near the Gaza border and has been working tirelessly to support those affected by the war. The Center has become a vital source of relief, including for those with loved ones currently serving in the Israel Defense Forces.

The war has caused immense trauma, displacement, and economic hardship, and Chamah has stepped up to provide critical support and hope during these challenging times. Chamah’s assistance includes fresh meals, food boxes, baby supplies, toys for children, and debit cards for grocery purchases, helping families, immigrants, and the elderly cope with the crisis.
The towns of Ofakim and Ashkelon were particularly hard hit on October 7th, with many killed or taken captive. In Ofakim, over fifty lives were tragically lost during the terrorist infiltration. Among the victims was the son of a Chamah volunteer, a police officer who fell in the fierce battle.

Supporting the Elderly
The war has deeply affected elderly residents, many of whom were too afraid to leave their homes due to the constant threat of rocket sirens, which allow only 12 to 40 seconds to reach a safe room.
Chamah’s assistance for the elderly included food packages and other essential, as well as ready-to-eat hot meals to support those unable to shop or cook for themselves. Medical care was also brought directly to their doorsteps, with doctors and nurses conducting home visits to ensure physical health needs are met.

Recognizing the emotional toll, Chamah has mobilized psychologists, social workers, and volunteers to offer companionship, alleviate stress, and address the loneliness and anxiety many elderly are experiencing. These efforts go beyond logistics, offering vital care and comfort during this unprecedented crisis.
For elderly residents who felt safe enough to venture out, the Chamah Center has been a vital resource, offering essential activities and programs that provide a supportive space to connect with others, find comfort, and navigate the challenges of this ongoing conflict.
Solidarity Mission
We were privileged to have the great honor of welcoming our good friend and international Co-chairman, Mr. Oliver Stanton, who visited our center in Israel as part of his solidarity trip to israel. During his visit, he participated in our food distribution efforts and witnessed first-hand the vital work we are doing.

IDF Soldiers and Their Families
Chamah is supporting our courageous IDF soldiers and the dedicated reservists who have been called up to defend Israel at this critical time. Many of these soldiers have left their spouses and children behind for months at a time to answer the call of duty, and we stand with their families through the strain and uncertainty of these days. Chamah is delivering essential food packages and providing steady, practical support to these families.

To lift spirits on the front lines, Chamah arranged warm, hearty meals and barbecues for soldiers serving under demanding conditions.
Chamah regularly organizes Shabbat weekends throughout the year for IDF families, spouses, widows, and children, giving them the chance to rest, gather strength, and regain a sense of stability.
Chamah is likewise expanding its support for the orphans of fallen soldiers. We arranged meaningful trips and programs that give these boys and girls a chance to connect with others in their situation and experience the steady encouragement of Jewish communities near and far. These encounters allow them to feel the solidarity of those who stand with them as they navigate loss and build toward the future.
