Nutritional Support for Israeli School Children in need

Since 2015, Chamah has been combating food insecurity by providing nutritious breakfasts and lunches at the Mofet School in Ihr Ganim, Jerusalem. Additionally, they also provide food boxes for the children to take home.

These meals not only provide for the basic daily need of combatting hunger, they also provide the fuel to better concentrate in the classroom and achieve academically—which allows for the opportunity to excel long term as successful adults and essential contributors to Israeli society.

A good portion of the children benefiting from the program are of Ethiopian origin.  They are motivated and eager to learn—and by removing the stumbling block of hunger, that is exactly what they are doing.
