Women's Leadership Forum
The Women's Leadership Forum, held in Russia, addressed a range of important issues, including the topic of inclusive education for children with special needs.
On November 20, 2024, the Women's Leadership Forum was held at the Helikon Opera, in Russia, supported by the Embassy of Israel and the Nativ organization. One of the important topics discussed at the Forum was inclusive education.
Representatives from the Chamah Child Development Center in Moscow participated in the event.
Integrating children with special needs and social difficulties into groups with typically developing peers offers transformative benefits for all involved. For children with special needs, these interactions help build social skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging, aiding their development and well-being. At the same time, typically developing children learn empathy, patience, and an appreciation for diversity, gaining invaluable lessons in inclusion and respect.
The Chamah Center in Moscow conducts a wide range of educational activities, including correctional and developmental programs tailored for children with special needs. This program creates a nurturing environment that supports the development and education of children with special needs, while fostering their integration and adaptation within a group of typically developing peers. By nurturing these connections, the Chamah Center creates an environment where all children can thrive and grow together. ■
