Passover food relief
Holiday assistance is being distributed for those in need, in Israel, in honor of the upcoming Passover holiday
Chamah volunteers rallied together to assemble hundreds of food boxes destined for vulnerable families in preparation for the Passover holiday. Amidst the recent war in Israel, where many have faced financial hardship or displacement from their homes, the need for support has grown even more pressing.
For the upcoming Passover holiday, Chamah is distributing many hundreds of boxes of provisions to families and individuals in need, IDF soldiers and their families, homebound seniors, and those who have been displaced from their homes due to the war. The packages contain hand-made Matzot, beautiful Passover Hagaddah's, wine, chicken, fish, oil, eggs, fruits, vegetables and dry goods. Furthermore, we are implementing a program to distribute food vouchers specifically for use in supermarkets. These vouchers will provide individuals and families with greater flexibility and access to essential groceries, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to meet their nutritional needs.

At the Chamah center in Israel, we will be hosting a beautiful Passover Seder program for 350 people; new immigrants, elderly, needy families and evacuees from the bordering Gaza communities such as Ofakim, Ashkelon will be attending.
Accommodations will also be provided for the duration of Passover to numerous families—100 individuals in total—who have been displaced from their homes in neighboring towns along the Gaza border. This will provide them a much-needed respite from the stress of war, allowing them to unwind and enjoy quality time with their loved ones during the holiday. ■
