A Heartfelt Message of Gratitude from a Refugee

A Thank-You Note Highlights the Lifesaving Support Provided by Chamah and Our Dedicated Friends and Supporters

We recently received a beautiful thank-you note from a grateful lady, a refugee from Ukraine whom we have been helping. Her note expressed great appreciation for all those who made it possible, for the invaluable support provided to her and her son during this difficult period after crossing the Ukraine-Moldova border, as they manage the challenges they face and work toward rebuilding their lives. Along with the note, she also sent a picture of herself and her son with groceries they received from Chamah. See the photo below. And so we pass this message on to you—our dear friends and supporters. We are truly grateful to be partners with you in helping so many in need during this challenging time.

As the war in Ukraine wears on, Chamah, in collaboration with the Jewish community in Kishinev, Moldova, is continuing to provide crucial aid to Ukrainian refugees crossing the Ukraine-Moldova border, including food, shelter and medical aid. Over two thousand refugees have received food, shelter, and medical aid, including ambulance services, dental care, and facilitated medical flights to Israel. Many have also been assisted in immigrating to Israel or finding long-term homes elsewhere.
