Supporting working families

Parents can peacefully go to work, knowing that their children are being properly cared for

Just in time for the 2025–2026 school year, a new day care center in Kiryat Malachi, Israel, is nearing completion and will soon open, expanding CHAMAH’s growing network of childcare centers.

CHAMAH’s day care centers are designed to support working families by providing dependable childcare for children aged six months to three years, enabling parents to go to work and support their families. The program is fully licensed and staffed by trained professionals, offering a warm, enriching environment where children can grow and thrive.

Many of the children currently enrolled—or on the waiting list—have fathers serving in the Israel Defense Forces. Having a safe, structured place for their young children is a huge support for these families.

This expansion is a welcome relief to many parents who had been on the waiting list, struggling to find stable childcare arrangements. With this new center, they can now head to work with peace of mind, knowing their children are receiving high-quality care in a safe, structured environment.

The new facility spans 5,800 square feet and includes three classrooms, a kitchen and  a bomb shelter. It is built on a 10,800 square foot lot with shaded playgrounds and outdoor areas dedicated to each classroom. It will serve around 80 children.

This new facility will become part of the CHAMAH network of childcare centers in Israel. Each center features bright, thoughtfully designed indoor spaces, outdoor play areas, and a daily schedule that fosters learning, creativity, and cultural engagement. Fresh meals are prepared on-site, and children participate in music, crafts, and seasonal activities that include Jewish traditions. CHAMAH also prioritizes its staff, offering professional development and wellness programs to ensure a consistently high standard of care.

With rising demand from growing young families, along with continued immigration and refugee absorption, all struggling in the wake of two years of war and a weakened economy, CHAMAH continues to expand its impact: strengthening families, supporting working parents, and helping build a stronger future for Israeli society.
