Exciting Trip to the United States for IDF Orphans
Sons of fallen IDF soldiers received an exciting trip to the United States, visiting sights in many cities and sharing their stories with Jewish communities
Twenty-two teenagers, sons of fallen IDF soldiers, embarked on an unforgettable trip to the United States.
They visited numerous states, including New York, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., and Florida, where they were warmly welcomed by the Jewish communities there, and got to experience the diverse attractions each city had to offer.
In New York, the group had the honor of meeting Israeli Ambassador Gilad Erdan. He spoke to them about the historical significance of the land of Israel to the Jewish people, tracing its importance back thousands of years.
Among the highlights was a visit to Xtreme Action Park, and boat rides with members of law enforcement in Florida, fostering bonds of camaraderie and appreciation for those who serve their communities.
Some of the boys shared their personal experiences, the challenges they face, and their plans to honor the legacy of their fallen parents. Their stories resonated deeply with the communities they visited.
The trip was an emotional journey, marked by both tears of sorrow and moments of joy. Communities across the United States stood in solidarity with these young men, offering support and sharing in their journey of remembrance and hope. ■
The trip was co-directed by Rabbi Berri Spitezki with the assistance of Rabbi Schneur Zalman Halperin. Chamah is proud to have been a partner organization in this project.
