Children's Passover Program
Children in Moscow learned about the history of Passover, its customs and traditions, through hands-on activities
Prior to Passover, at the Chamah Center in Russia, children eagerly immersed themselves in the rich tapestry of Passover traditions and customs, preparing diligently for the holiday. Through engaging activities and informative sessions, they delved into the significance of the holiday, its stories, and its symbols.
They embraced the art of crafting Matzot, symbolizing the haste of their ancestors' exodus from Egypt. In a creative twist, they utilized clay therapy to mold these Matzah - unleavened breads.
They then conducted a lively model Seder, where they joyously reenacted the rituals and retold the tales of Passover. This immersive experience allowed them to connect with the essence of the holiday, where they learned all about its traditions.
As a gesture of sharing the spirit of Passover, families of the children were gifted with Matzot, grape juice, and other items for the holiday, ensuring that the celebration extended beyond the classroom, enriching their homes with the holiday spirit. ■
