An exciting birthday celebration at the Chamah Seniors Center
We recently gathered at the Chamah Senior Center to host a heartwarming celebration for one of our cherished seniors, marking an incredible milestone of over 80 years!

The Chamah Senior Citizens Center in Israel serves as a vital lifeline for the elderly. The center hosts daily communal activities such as cultural outings, holiday festivities, and age-tailored exercises, all designed to foster a sense of inclusion and belonging.
Some of the seniors are Holocaust survivors and WWII veterans; some do not have close family; and the center provides a nurturing environment that actively combats loneliness and isolation.
Beyond social engagement, Chamah ensures the physical well-being of its members by providing freshly prepared, nourishing hot meals on-site and through Meals on Wheels deliveries for those who are homebound. This holistic approach—combining nutritional, cognitive, and social support—is reinforced by dedicated staff and volunteers who maintain consistent communication and home visits, ensuring that no senior feels forgotten or alone. ■
