Chamah in Russia Brings Holiday Essentials to Elderly Jews for the upcoming Passover holiday

In the days leading up to Passover, Chamah in Russia is distributing packages of kosher-for-Passover matzot, wine, and essential food items to elderly Jews throughout the country. Many of the recipients are homebound or live on limited means, and these deliveries help them prepare for the holiday with the basic necessities.

 

The situation is made even more difficult by the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Some of those receiving help have close family members affected by the conflict—displaced, serving on the front lines, or living in uncertainty.

What they need now is clear: the means to celebrate Passover with dignity, the food and supplies to uphold tradition, and the reassurance that someone cares.
