Mr. Sanford Bruckner

Mr. Sanford Bruckner is Chamah Chairman Emeritus and was its International Chairman for many years as well as one of the earliest friends and supporters of Chamah. Mr. Bruckner and his wife, Mrs. Bernice Bruckner, have been active in Jewish causes and the Riverdale community for many years.

Rabbi Yechiel Z. Eckstein

It is with great pleasure that Chamah honors Rabbi Yechiel Z. Eckstein, the founder of the IFCJ. Prior to founding the Fellowship in 1983, Rabbi Eckstein served as national co-director of inter-religious affairs for the Anti-Defamation League. In the early days, Rabbi Eckstein broke new ground with groups that had formerly had no contact with Jews -leading him down the path towards creating the Fellowship.

Mr. and Mrs. Elia and Sima Feldsher

Sima and Elia were both born in 1946 in the republic of Ukraine. They emigrated from the Soviet Union with their two daughters in 1978. Sima and Elia quickly made their mark in the Untied States.

Mrs. Regina Kislin

Regina emigrated with her family from Russia to the Untied States when she was only 10 years old. Her parents brought her and her brother here for a better life, a life that will include Judaism without persecution.

Mr. Henry J. Leir, O.B.M

Mr. Leir was born in Germany, entered the metals and mining business in that country, where he worked his way up. In 1933, he fled Nazi Germany for Luxembourg, where he continued his career in metals and trading. Five years later, he left for the United States, where he established the Continental Ore Corporation.

This past summer we had the honor of having Larry and Millie visit our numerous facilities in Moscow. They had the opportunity not only to see first hand the work that Chamah is doing, but also to speak with our staff and the participants in our programs.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Celia Sirotkin

We are very grateful for their participation in the renovation of the first Educational Center for Underprivileged Children in Moscow. Both Celia and Paul arrived to the Untied States from Europe at a very young age and family has always been very important to the Sirotkins as well as their Jewish heritage.
