The Social Security Department, has stated that in Israel today there are over 700,000 children from families who are living below the poverty level.
There are families who are not able to provide basic food for their children such as milk, bread on a daily basis and even have to dilute infant formula to preserve its shelf life (unfortunately the government does not subsidize basic foods).
According to medical professionals the lack of nutritious food hinders the physical and mental growth of a child.
